Just from calculating a number of values and figuring out the pattern.
That's quite the pattern to figure out...
Replace NaNs with the number that appears to its left in the row.
First non-zero element in each column
letter yes yes & letter no no
Create a matrix X, where each column is a shifted copy of the vector v
Replace secondary diagonal elements of a square array
Find the mean of a 2-D matrix after excluding elements of specified sub-matrix
Get a new matrix by mapping each element of an arbitrary-sized input matrix using lookup table
