Compute the bandwidth of a bandpass filter in octaves given the Q.

When designing an audio bandpass filter, sometimes the desired Q (quality factor) is specified, and the bandwidth in octaves BWoct needs to be calculated.
Syntax
BWoct = filtQ2BW(Q)
filtQ2BW()
The input value of Q may be either a scalar, a row vector, or a column vector. If a vector is provided, then the output will be the appropriate vector.
Invoking filtQ2BW() with no input arguments creates an example table of output results, which can be compared to the results that were published by Bohn (1983).
