    Teaching Calculus with MATLAB

Learn calculus using MATLAB® and Symbolic Math Toolbox™.

MATLAB is a valuable resource for calculus professors and students, giving them the ability to create, solve, and manipulate functions. It also enables students to enhance their knowledge of both fundamental calculus principles and their applications to real-world problems.

You will see how it is possible to take limits of functions and use the Live Editor and interactive tools, such as the numeric slider bar, to demonstrate the differences between various types of discontinuities.

You will also see how to use Symbolic Math Toolbox to calculate indefinite derivatives and integrals, gradients, Riemann sums, sequences, and series, as well as to find the Taylor series coefficients for a given function.

Calculus concepts covered in this video:
    - Functions
    - Limits
    - Continuity
    - Derivatives
    - Integrals
    - Power series

For real-world mathematical modeling, you will also see an overview of existing examples in the MATLAB documentation and an overview of textbooks using MATLAB and Symbolic Math Toolbox.
