Your MathWorks account is associated with the e-mail address you provide upon signing up for the program. You do not need to have a license in order to create a MathWorks Account.
Where can I find additional information about a MathWorks Account?
Your MathWorks Account is a central location from which you can download your software, manage your licenses through the License Center, create service requests, request quotes, generate trials, view orders and create bug reports.
