How do I install the MATLAB Student Version on Linux?

I would like to know where I can find instructions on how to install MATLAB Student Version on Linux. How can I do that?

Note: The Student Version of MATLAB was a version of MATLAB that existed from releases R2007a to R2016b. All other releases of MATLAB do not have a "Student Version". Instead, students use the same release of MATLAB as all other users on all other and newer releases.
