MATLAB - compiled Apps with GUI problem on WIndows 7

We have an application that we build with compiler toolkit and distribute as a standalone .exe file together with MCR. It is built on XP, and works fine on XP, but on Windows 7 dialog windows get cut out, and File Selection dialog freezes.

Is it related to a particular setting on Windows 7? Is there a special MCR version for Windows 7?

There is no special MCR version for Windows 7.

On the other hand, if the version of MATLAB you are building the executable with is not documented as being fully supported on Windows 7, then problems should be expected.
