How I can change the arrows line width and the text to both a compass and it's legend?

Hi,

I have to produce some compass plots and I want to change using the script the arrow line width, the line style and the head style. Also I need to change the text size and style to both the compass plot and its legend. If you have any idea how I can do this by using the script, please let me know.
