Rename a bunch of files in a folder

Hi, I have more than 300 files in each folder and I would like to rename the files at once. I am new to matlab programming and got stuck here. The original file names is something like this "filename20090101" and i would like it to be something like "filename_2009_01_01" those are daily files so after the first month it will be "filename_2009_02_01" and so on. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

In the loop, use the movefile() function to rename the files.
