How to put a figure into a GUI?

I made a function that is a figure. I need to make that figure interactive with a GUI and uicontrol buttons.

Karl - please provide more detail. How would the GUI affect the figure? What does the figure show? You could add an axes to your GUI and have the function use that as the "canvas" to draw/plot on.
