mcb_pmsm_f​oc_sensorl​ess_f28379​d question

Hello,

I'm using Launchxl-F28379D and BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM together with Simulink (mcb_pmsm_foc_sensorless_f28379d subsystem) to make sensorless control of PMSM motor.

I'd like to make my own controller now.

Could somebody reccomend me new MCU (low-cost Picollo) and Driver IC that are available on market and will work with mentioned before Simulink subsystem (so that will be easy from Simulink mcb_pmsm_foc_sensorless_f28379d point of view to switch to/configure for new parts) ?

Because DRV8305* and TMS320F28379DZWT are not available.

For example will TMS320F28020 handle it? And DRV8350FHRTVR ?

Other Launchpad and Inverter board also can be used but corresponding modification will be required in the model file "mcb_pmsm_foc_sensorless_f28379d".

You can choose the device from the list of devices supported by Simulink.

To understand what modification is required, the difference in architectural design of selected device and f28379d need to be considered.

I see TMS320F28020 is on that list.

How can I know whether this particular procesor can hande the script mcb_pmsm_foc_sensorless_f28379d?

Do you mabye know what are minimal requirements for the procesor to run that script? MIPS? CPU Clock?

The processor on Launchxl-F28379D has 2 cores but I assume only one is needed, is that right?

For sensorless foc control of PMSM there are different model files to support different launchpads. In the "Command Window" type below code:-

mcb_pmsm_foc_sensorless_f28

and press "TAB" key to see all different launchpads are supported for this algorithm (sensorless foc).

Does this model require from MCU to have CLB - Configurable Logic Blocks? Or I can choose processor without it?

No, this model does not require MCU to have CLB. You can choose processor without it.

Helpful info, however neither of that launchpad's processor is available. I'd like to switch to another and still some information about some minimal requirements for the procesor to run that script will be helpfull :)
