Drawing the ellipse fit on another figure

Say that I have an irregular shape, for which I made an "ellipse fit", that is, I found the best ellipse fit for that irregular shape.

How can I get the ellipse only? In other words, how can I draw it on another figure to get that smooth ellipse?
