Accelerometer used upside down

Hi,

I was using a body worn tri-axial accelerometer for measuring sway during standing balance, I fixed the accelerometer upside down i guess as i got all the values in negative (i figured it out with the vertical component data). does it affects my data, any suggestion to correct it?

          Thanks for your reply. I also have few other questions if you can clarify. In the literature, I have read something about eliminating gravitational component followed by filtering the data in the accelerometer. As I am from medical background I don't have much knowledge on this. do you know something about this and filtering a accelerometer data measured at 100hz sampling rate.
