Is it possible to export a function in MATLAB in such a way that it is possible to execute that function, but do not read its source code?
I would like to distribute a MATLAB application to the students while keeping a functionality as a black-box. So they can execute a program and see the results. Then, they should re-implement that black-box functionality, without being able to read the solution from the distributed application.

Davide - consider using pcode which obfuscates the code in fun.m and produces a file called fun.p You could then distribute the p-file to your students who could execute it.
As per the note in the link, the pcode function obfuscates your .m files, it does not encrypt them. While the content in a .p file is difficult to understand, it should not be considered secure. It is not recommended that you P-code files to protect your intellectual property.

Hello,
I am working on Equivalent Circuit Modeling for estimating the battery parametrs. I read in MAthworks documentation that the model can be Blackboxed for sharing with certain customers so that they can modify it according to the application for which they are using the battery without knowing the internal parameters. I read that once the model is created we need to generate the code and than we have create a new simulink model based on the generated code.
Can you please elaborate on how exactly do we need to blackbox the model based on the generated code ?
Your answers will be very helpful and appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
