pairwise comparison of sounds/acoustics

hello everyone, hope you are doing well i need to know what are the best ways, methods, and algorithms to do an automated pairwise comparison of sounds/signals. in other words what are the best approaches to make MATLAB hear sounds like humain ears. thank you in advance
