Why does Simulink crash when I start it (with Arduino Support Package installed)?

I recently updated my MATLAB 2021a to update_6 and it is crashing when running a simulink model. I've the Simulink Support Package for Arduino Hardware installed.Why is this happening? Is there a workaround? The crash log is below.

This issue exists because of a mismatch in the versions of the MATLAB release and the DLL file used in the hardware support packages. In order to work around this issue, you can do the following after the crash.

• Make sure MATLAB process is killed.
• Go to the path mentioned in the stack trace: C:\ProgramData\MATLAB\SupportPackages\R2021a\bin\win64\simulink_plugins\hardwaresupportpkgs\targets\targetHiddenBlkInsert\libmwtargetHiddenBlkInsert.dll
• Move the dll to a different location.
• Restart matlab.

Days of searching and I finally happen upon your response, the only one of hundreds trying to resolve this issue that actually works.

I will say that specifically, I did not move the dll to a different location for the hardware support package(s), but rather, I deleted the hardware support packages ("MATLAB Support Package for Arduino Hardware" & "Simulink Support Package for Arduino Hardware"). I'm sure your reasoning and method would have worked to solve the issue but I figured deleting the entire thing was as good as moving it!

For anyone referencing in future, if you have:

This issue would force crash MATLAB when running anything in Simulink, whether or not I was interfacing with hardware.

Noor, you can choose to move to any folder which is not on the MATLAB path.
