Is it possible to disable datatips in the debugger?

It's a useful feature but unfortunately it causes my screen to flicker and change resolution. Until this bug is resolved (if ever) I need to be very careful not to hover my cursor over a variable in debug mode. If there is any way, even an undocumented way, to disable datatips from showing in the debugger it would save me a few accidental screen-resolution changes per session. Any ideas welcome! I get this problem too, R2015b win7 x64. I'm trying to load the "undocumented matlab" website but either our internet is slow today or their server is.
