webcam - Hardware and Package Installer

Hi Guys, can you please help me? I'm doing video processing, by now the laptops camera was good enough, but now I need to work on a regular computer which dont have built in camera, and need to connect it with a webcam. I ran into two problems: first - I dont know if my camera we own fits - and if not, which (lwo cost) camera we should buy? we own- VabdalVeto, MINTRON camera - model MTV -13V5HC. How can i find if it supposed to be fine? second - Im tring to use the Support Package Installer to instal the USB video package. And this package is disabled...
