Power and Energy analysis of a electric vehicle

I want to conduct the power and energy analysis of a electric vehicle. Currently am refering the available 'Full electric vehicle model' using the command autoblkEvStart in matlab. I find it difficult to understand the matlab script to analysze the power and energy. It will be really helpfull if any of you share the more simpler model or scripts to calculate the power and energy for EV'S.
