I use mathlab with 2012 licence R2012a File Installation Key:

10140-.......

But i need to use mathlab 2023.

How can i use ?

I need absolutely to buy a new licence ?

To use legally, yes, you would need to upgrade the license.

As with most commercial software, you can't just buy it once (11 years) ago and get upgrades free forever. If you want to upgrade to the latest version, you'll need to pay for it. (This is not unique to MATLAB of course. All my software is like that.)
