I am using Windows 10. I have R2022a installed in the following folder: C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2022a
I need to install R2017b on the same machine. Is it possible to install it in the same parent folder C:\Program Files\MATLAB? In other words, can I make C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017b the installation folder for the other version? I like this organization style. Would this cause any problems?
What install location should I choose during setup (below) to achieve this?

The following post says "be sure to select a separate installation directory for each release of MATLAB, as different versions must be installed separately." Does this mean I cannot have the same parent folder C:\Program Files\MATLAB\ for both versions?

It is not a problem to use the file structure you would like.
It would only be a problem if you were to try to install two different versions in the same folder. For example some people install into C:\Program Files\MATLAB directly without any version-specific folder .

Sorry, I do not know. On my Mac, the offered install directory is named /Applications and is the parent directory, with MATLAB creating (for example) folder MATLAB_R2023a.app/ to store the files into.
