Cannot use Poisson Distribution in distributionFitter App anymore

It seems like I cannot use the Poisson Distribution in the disitributionFitter app anymore... It used to exist a few days ago, but now I cannot see it anymore, while it should be (and has been) in this list (see photo). I have closed matlab and re-opended it but nothing changed. How can I fix this, or how can I uninstall this app and re-install it ? Thank you !

Hi Aurelian,

I understand that you are trying to use Poisson Distribution in the "distributionFitter App" but it is not showing up.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my end, and I can confirm that the "Poisson" distribution does appear in R2023a Update 4 of MATLAB. To address the problem you're experiencing, I suggest updating MATLAB to the most recent version available.

Regarding the uninstallation of the app, it is not possible to remove it directly. Instead you will need to uninstall and reinstall the “Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox”. Follow these steps to accomplish that:

1. Go to Add-Ons from the ENVIRONMENT tab in MATLAB HOME.
2. Click on Manage Add-Ons to open the Add-On Manager.
3. Search for the Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox and right click on it.
4. You will get the option to uninstall the toolbox from here.
5. To reinstall the toolbox, click on Get Add-Ons on the top of the screen to open the Add-On Explorer.
6. Search for the required toolbox and add it back to MATLAB.
