How to use an angle sensor on tire to get the current angular position

Hi, I am building a steer by linear actuator controller and have decided to control the angular position. So i am taking the input steering wheel angle as my reference and the current tire angle as a feedback. I want to know how can i model an angle sensor on the tire so that it can give me the angular position of it as the feedback to my controller.

Hi @Tiasa,
To my understanding you want angular position of the tire as feedback to your controller.
Here is a link of how this was done in the Mar’s rover:
Kindly refer to “Rover Path Planning and Control” section of the above documentation which covers the theoretical formulation of steering wheel control.
