how to run Model predictive controller in parallel with another model

Hello,

so i have a dc microgrid model and i have a model predictive controller using simulink in Matlab, and i want to run the model predictive controller with the microgrid model but i don't know how to do that, because in MPC you have to import signals from the microgrid model into the MPC first, so how to run the 2 together at the same time?
