Hi Alan,
The error message shared indicates a problem with downloading and loading a real-time application binary from Simulink using dSPACE RTI (Real-Time Interface) onto a dSPACE MicroLabBox hardware system. The specific error codes and messages suggest that the attempt to load the application process has failed and it is unable to create a child process.
Here are steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
  • Check Message Log: Message log may contain more detailed error messages that can help pinpoint the cause of the problem.
  • Verify Hardware Setup: Ensure that the MicroLabBox is properly connected to the computer, and it is powered on. Check if the necessary drivers for the MicroLabBox are installed and up to date.
  • Check dSPACE Software Compatibility: Make sure that the version of Simulink and dSPACE RTI in use is compatible with the version of ControlDesk and the firmware on the MicroLabBox.
  • Rebuild and Reload the Application: Try rebuilding the real-time application in Simulink and then attempt to download it again. Ensure there are no errors during the build process.
The error message includes a "dSPACE Support information" tag, which suggests that this might be a known issue or one that requires assistance from dSPACE's technical support team. They may have additional insights or steps for resolving the error.
If the issue persists, contact dSPACE technical support for assistance. Refer to the dSPACE documentation for troubleshooting steps specific to downloading real-time applications to the MicroLabBox.
Please refer to the following dSPACE documentation- https://www.dspace.com/en/inc/home/support/documentation.cfm
Hope it helps !
Best Regards,
Simar
