- Go to the Code view of the App Designer of your project
- Select any of the Split screen view in the "Code View", either "Left/Right" or "Top/Bottom". As mentioned, the Split screen appears with a Blank view.
- Switch to "Design View", and then switch back to "Code View", and the code populates in both screens.

The split screen functionality in Code View mode of the AppDesigner does not work properly: The right side stays empty when chosing Left/Right (empty lower half for Top/Bottom) and doesn't show any code at all, no line numbering is indicated on that side:![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/1600076/image.png)

I am using 2023b in the current release 6. When switching back to 2023a, the issue doesn't appear.
Can I fix this from my side? Thanks for your support.

I too faced the same issue in the R2023b, while using the split screen functionality in Code View mode of the AppDesigner.

I'm glad I found this comment. It works. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong with the split screen. :)
I hope Mathworks fixes this.
