Individual User License usage conditions

Dear Support Team,

We have a MATLAB Perpetual Standard Individual license for one user. Currently, this license is being used by one user on a personal computer. However, we now have two additional users who also need to use MATLAB. The software is used 1-2 times a month to verify already prepared models.

Could you please clarify under what conditions we can use the already purchased license for all three users in turn? Is this possible under the current license, or will we need to purchase additional licenses?

Additionally, we have Azure Virtual Desktop. Is there a solution for multi-session virtual desktops that would allow us to use MATLAB in this mode?

According to the knowledge base article: Individual License Administration - MATLAB & Simulink (mathworks.com), we understand that the software with an individual license can be installed on multiple computers, but each installation is limited to a specific computer and a specific user. Could you please explain what exactly is meant by these limitations? Did you meant specific system user or specific user account?

Please contact Customer Service directly using this link or contact the Sales department directly using this link for help with this licensing question. If you didn't already have a license but wanted to know what terms would best match your planned usage I'd recommend Sales first, but since you already have a license probably Customer Service is better as a first step. Depending on the result of that discussion they may need to bring in or transfer you to Sales or Support, but the Service team can decide that once they have more information.
