Wavelet Transform Approximate and Detail level

Hi all,

I am using the wavelet decomposition feature.

So for example if i'm using the level 7 decomposition level,i get two values;

a7 and d7...(a=approximate and d=detail level)

if i only had the option of picking one of the above two,which would hold more accuracy with respect to my signal?(the approximate or detail value?
