To add mathematical calculations in a model, 'Math Function' blocks can be used. They allow Mathematical functions including logarithmic, exponential, power, and modulus functions. 'MATLAB Function' blocks can also be used to implement more complex calculations or iterative processes by adding user defined functions into the model.
ODE's can be solved using Simulink inbuilt ODE solvers, to implement this 'Integrator','Gain' & 'Sum' blocks can be used. PDE's can be solved in similar manner if discretized, for more complex systems use 'MATLAB Function' blocks.
