How to create a module geometry that is 2p12s with the Battery Builder app

I am trying to create a battery module that is composed of pouch cells. In the single stack, there are two groups of twelve that are connected in parallel. The two groups which are connected in series are divided down the middle of the module. Visually, this is what the geometry looks like (not to scale):
12 cells are grouped in series on the left, and 12 are grouped in series on the right. The two groups are separated in the middle, connected in parallel in a single stack geometry.

Hello Emma,
The current structure of Parallel Assemblies and Modules does not support arranging the cells in the way you described.
As a workaround, you can configure the series‑connected cells as a Module Assembly, and then connect multiple Module Assemblies in parallel at the pack level. This approach gives you the flexibility to position the cells according to your design requirements.
I’ve attached a script that sets up the pack from the command line. If you prefer using the application interface, you can follow these steps:
  1. Create a new Cell and assign the pouch geometry.
  2. Create a new Parallel Assembly and add the Cell to it.
  3. Create a new Module and add the Parallel Assembly.
  4. Create a Module Assembly, add 12 Modules to it, and set the properties explicitly as defined in the script.
  5. Finally, create the Pack from the Module Assembly and configure its properties.
Thank you for raising this question, and I hope you have a great day.
