I think it is missing support for methods which combines fuzzy imprecision with probabilistic uncertainty. That is, extension of classical histograms and probability distributions to fuzzy histograms and (so-called) fuzzy probability distributions. This would enable fuzzy-Bayesian inference, classifiers and such.

Thanks for your suggestion.Do you basically mean type 2 fuzzy systems?

I see a bunch of requests for I2FLS "Interval Type 2 Fuzzy Logic System". I suspect that the majority of the people asking for it are being expected to implement some of the operations themselves for a course, but I do not know that: there could plausibly be courses out there that are telling people to use a toolbox that isn't actually available.

Someone has just released an open source IT2FLS for MATLAB; see http://uk.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/13468-type-2-fuzzy-logic-system
