loading a video INTO matlab

Hi,

I wish to load a video into matlab and I typed:

obj=VideoReader('vid1.mp4')

A bunch of error messages appeared:

Error using VideoReader/init (line 447)
The file requires the following codec(s) to be installed on your
system:
  video/x-h264

Error in VideoReader (line 146)
            obj.init(fileName);

The aim is to be able to load the video into matlab so that I can analyze it frame by frame.

What happened when you installed the h264 codec in your (unidentified) system?
