nlarx simulation with arbitaru input

Hi there... after system identification by "nlarx" command,how could i obtain "nlarx" model identified output by my arbitrary inputs? after "step(nlarxModel)", command i face to this error message and no plot maked: "Warning: The data cannot be plotted because it is incompatible with the size of the plot or is missing." what's the problem? Thank you
