Undefined function or variable

I'm using matlab on my Mac and I'm trying to use the function "year" but it gives me this problem:

Undefined function or variable 'year'.

It's weird because on the helper I can easily find the function "year"

It's because you are using older version of MATLAB. Year Function was introduced first in R2014b version of MATLAB.

No I solved it, I have R2015a version but the problem is that the function year that I needed was in the financial toolbox and I didn't install that toolbox..thank you anyway
