When I run your copy_paste_image_freehand, if I click "Gray scale cells", the output error: Error using imread (line 349) File "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2015b\bin\AT3_1m4_09.tif" does not exist. Error in copy_paste_image_freehand (line 64) targetImage = imread(fullFileName);

I use R20015b

The folder should be "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2015b\toolbox\images\imdata". Because, for you, it found ""C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2015b\bin", it means that you must have a copy of cameraman.tif in that folder (for some strange reason). Because of that, you must hard code the folder at line 23 to be

folder='C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2015b\toolbox\images\imdata';
