Pattern matching using voicebox toolbox.

I am doing a speech recognition project and want to use the voicebox toolbox . I have computed MFCC, now I have to do some pattern matching. I am having trouble deciding which code to use and what would the algorithm be. I know the theory of LBG VQ, but implementing that in code is giving me trouble. Any suggestion would be great.
