Simulink 3D animation runs very slowly using Nvidia drivers

I am trying to run a Simulink 3D animation across 3 screens.
I am using a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, Windows 10 and Matlab 2015a. When using the Nvidia drivers, I get about one frame every 4 seconds. I have tried
-back dating the drivers as far back as I can and this doesn't help
-disabling Vertical Sync
If I uninstall the Nvidia drivers and use Microsoft Basic Display drivers, the animation is much quicker (several frames per second), but I can only use one screen. Windows 10 also then autoupdates to use Nvidia drivers. In comparison, using Nvidia with only one screen, the frame rate is still about one frame every two seconds.
Someone, somewhere suggested looking at the size of the VRML world file - it was 170kb.
I have tried searching around for more suggestions, but haven't had any luck.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Is this going to be a case of needing to buy a new graphics card as I have seen several people have problems with Nvidia cards?
Thanks for your help
Chris

It is a driver issue/bug that has been there for a long time. Still nobody took care of it. Your card has nothing to do with it you just have to install old drivers. My animation works fine with the drivers 341.44. It seems like that this was the last compatible driver. Also, disable the windows 10 updates with the following Microsoft tool: Show or Hide updates

Thanks for your answer Davide. It turns out that Matlab have fixed the problem in 2016a. Older drivers were not available for my card so I was glad when this came about!
Thanks
