Normalization in Genfis1

For an assignment in class I have been asked to prepare and work with a data set to create a neural network and a fuzzy inference system. To prepare, I need to normalize the data. I have found out that normalization is part of neural networks in the tool box (for patternnet and fitnet) but I have no clue on how to normalize data for FIS.

Can anyone help with some basic code or explanation?
