While making my account I by mistake choosing the wrong option in "How will you use Matlab" as there was no option appearing for Academic Use (but the document given to me by my institute had this option)

Because of this I cannot access matlab all I see is a tab of associate liscense or something? How can I make this right?

Hi Muhammad,

I think you will probably need to speak with your IT Administrator, to see what can be done regarding this. I suppose the license activation window is the "tab" you are referring to.
