How can we do calculation in Matlab?

Then how can calculate
15*X(i+1)+12*X(i)-3*X(i-1) using the value of X(i).

suppose We have X(i) = 2*S(i+1)+18*S(i) +21*S(i-1) and we need to calculate X(i+1)+2*X(i)-3*X(i-1). Where X(i+1) = 2*S(i+2)+18*S(i+1) +21*S(i) and similarly X(i-1).
