i want to count all those object that contain black dots?is there any method to remove all those objects that empty? here is my image. image Analyst

How do you define "object" in this case? Or "black dots"? I imagine there are multiple interpretations given your particular image. It may be helpful to show what your desired result looks like or provide more details about the image. Are those cells?

Please upload the actual image only, not a screenshot with borders and tickmarks and tick labels. If you generated that image from another color or gray scale image and some processing, such as edge detection, then upload that image and the code too.

in this case objects are blood cells and black dots show the presence of malarial parasites.first i count the all the cells now i want to count all those cells that contain malarial parasites so that i can show the percentage using pie chart. i detect all the parasites by contouring. my real image is there

and after gray scaling of image i apply imcontour on it to detect the parasites.all thing going right but m stuck there. kindly help me people. waiting for your answer.

First you need to do color segmentation to find all the light purple things. That's pretty easy - see my File Exchange or use the Color Thresholder App from the Apps tab on the MATLAB tool ribbon.

Then you need to split them apart because some round cells are overlapping. For that, see this: http://blogs.mathworks.com/steve/2013/11/19/watershed-transform-question-from-tech-support/.

Then you need to label with bwlabel() and call regionprops with a binary image that is split apart but still has the black dots in it. Ask for the Euler number. Count the number of results that have a Euler number less than 1.

Once you segment the color, the black dots will be holes in the segmented image.
