I have two equations I would like to plot. I am having trouble understanding the application of the quiver command. The examples that I have found do indeed plot flow fields but they lack the relations from which the numbers are taken. Could someone help me apply matlab to plot these two attached equations? </matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/60172/flow%20field%20equations.png>

Right, as if a problem from 16 days ago was a relevant homework question. I don't need your derisive tone, I obviously wouldn't have gotten this far if I didn't know at least something. I am more than a little offended that you are questioning my academic integrity.
For one, I know the answer. It's trivial to calculate a table of values and hand graph it, it's why I didn't bother to include them. It's irrelevant that I can do this equation in a different program, I know how to graph. What I needed was an answer, not your snide comment.
Just for clarity, here are the equations graphed.
I apologize for sounding incensed, I did in fact look at the relevant literature provided for the quiver function.

However, I did not find it helpful.

MATLAB Answers is a place you can get help from the user community on specific MATLAB questions. It is not intended as a place to have strangers do your homework for you.
Desiring help with homework is fine, but:
  • show what you have done so far (post some code and explain what you are thinking about how to solve the problem).
  • ask a specific question about either specific MATLAB syntax/constructs, or general guidance (such as "what functions should I look at to achieve [result]")
  • make sure your question is answerable. A non-answerable question looks like, "How can I use MATLAB for Image Processing."If you need help with the very basics of MATLAB, please read the getting started documentation.
