3D Fluid Dynamics With Moving Models

Hello,
I am working on a project that will deal with moving submersible robots. I am wondering if there is any way of simulating in MATLAB how effectively my robot will move in the water? If this is beyond the scope of MATLAB, I would appreciate it if anyone could inform me of any different tools that could be used.
Thank you for any help,
Mark A

Is your work only a visualization part or you need to simulate the motion of robot in fluid?

The main goal is to work out how well the robot will move in the water. For this I would imagine that I would need to simulate the motion of the robot in water, however I am unsure if there is an easier way to do it.
I haven't found much information that is relevant to my project online so I would be happy if anyone could point me to some good sources as well if possible.

Depending on how complicated the motion is, you might look into COMSOL (FEA). It has a CFD module and can simulate fluid/structures interactions. It also had an interface with Matlab (Matlab Livelink). Good luck!

What numerical method you are planning to work on? Did you make robot to walk on land?
