[GUI] How do I create a Push Button like "File", that allows me to get more Push Button like "Open", "Save", "Save as", and "Exit"?

Hello I'm trying to create a guide for a future App that I'm developing, on this GUI I want to have an interface just like the matlab one, with File, App, View, Publish, etc. (Or like the Word one, Open file, save, save as,exit, etc).

So as the first step I want to have a way of clicking the push button "File", when I do this I get another window, with several push buttons like for exemple, "Open"(this one will allow me to open any file from my computer, I already know how to do it), other with Save option(that will allow me to save the changes I made to the file), and other like exit(that will just close the file window).

The problem is I was only able to create the file button and when I click it, it lets me open the file I want, but thats not what I'm looking for, I want to click File, and then get a Open option, any help?

Is it a GUI you are creating in GUIDE or programmatically?

No problem. But I would recommend you look into dpb's answer, too. You are a lot more flexible if you create GUIs without GUIDE.

Use uimenu instead of pushbuttons...
