Hey there,
I need to solve this equation Z_real(omega) for 47 values of omega.
The problem is that I am struggling with that integral. I do not know how gamma(tau) looks like. All I have are 500 data points of (tau; gamma(tau)). And I assume that gamma(tau) becomes 0, if tau goes to infinity.
I tried several aporaches, but non of them calculated reasonable results. Either the implementation is terribly wrong (hopefully) or the data is shitty (hopefully not) :)
What is the best strategy to solve this equation/integral with MATLAB?
Thanks for your effort and have a good day!

Use MATLAB's "trapz".
Best wishes
Torsten.
