problem installing matlab 2011b

i tried installing matlab 2011b on my HP pavilion dv6, but its not executing. The software installs but does not open and does not sends shortcut to the disktop or start menu. thanks for you help please.

For Opening the software the shortcut is available in C drive C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2011b\bin or C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2011b\bin\win64 with identification name is MATLAB and Type is Application. You can make a shortcut of this file on desktop or start menu, where you want.
