How do I dilate a 3d binary image with gpu?

I want to dilate a 3dmask with ones and zeros under gpu. Now I try imdilate(gpuArray('3dmask'),se)); where se is a sphere.

gpuArray('3dmask') will produce an error, you cannot have a gpuArray of characters. imdilate expects a numeric array for the first input, normally this would be a logical array (a mask) or an array of underlying class single.
