WINIO.SYS and Parallel Port on Windows 7 (64 bit)

Hello

I have several laboratory software programs that use a parallel port to access equipment. We just got a new Windows 7 (64-bit) computer and I am trying to move all of our equipment to this machine. We are using MATLAB 2015a.

When I run the matlab scripts, I use the following code:

daqhwinfo('parallel')

and get the following error:

??? Error using ==> Error using daqhwinfo (line 122) Could not get information for parallel. PARALLEL: Could not start the WINIO.SYS device driver. When I open up the Device Manager and look for non-plug and play drivers, winio.sys does not show up. I am an administrator on the computer running Matlab from an admin account.

How can I fix this?
