Mingw-w64 Compiler Installation Error

I have tried installing mingw-w64 compiler by various methods and downloads, it is not successful. Why is the current version of Matlab R2016a so pathetic? Why should users have to struggle so much. Can't you have one single proper download kept somewhere in Matlab server? Even in simulink environment, so many redundant components for power electronics simulation. Matlab seriously need to reinvent. Please help with mex compiler installation.

Pretty amazing that something so basic and essential fails so badly. And the issue has been left unsolved for so long, more than 2 years now. I would have expected more from the MathWorks.
