Vector to raster and back to vector

I have been working on raster day all the while. Now i have vector data so i converted it to raster using info_matrix = vec2mtx(lat, long, density) where density is the min(std deviation x1, std deviation y1). Is there a way i can get this lat longitude back from info_matrix. It might sound naive to most of you but i am new to MATLAB..
