Java errors when running MATLAB 2016b?

Dear Mathworks support team,
I encounter these java errors (pasted below) while running MATLAB 2016b on my macbook (OS Sierra 10.2.2). I have a licensed TAH version from my institute. Eventually the code does not compile.
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" javax.swing.text.StateInvariantError: Can't render line: 4999 at javax.swing.text.PlainView.drawLine(PlainView.java:92) at com.mathworks.mde.cmdwin.CmdWinSyntaxUI$SyntaxPlainView.drawLine(CmdWinSyntaxUI.java:539) at javax.swing.text.PlainView.paint(PlainView.java:311)

What is your code doing? Can you provide some reproduction steps for the errors?
